Why do I have to apply for Diners Club Card acceptance with Windcave? I already have a Diners Club Merchant ID?

Unfortunately your old Diners Club Merchant ID is not compatible with Windcave's Processing Network. In this case you will need to apply for a new Diners Club Merchant ID from Windcave so that we settle your Diners Club transactions.

By Accepting Diners Club, what other brands can be accepted?

Diners Club is part of the Discover Global Network, therefore acceptance includes the ability to also welcome Discover Cards from the US, Diners Club from multiple countries and their network alliance partners. You can learn more about the Discover Global Network here.

How do I apply for a Windcave Diners Club Merchant ID?

You can apply for a new Diners Club Merchant ID by filling out our online Acquiring form. Alternatively our Sales team can assist you with your application. You can get in touch with them by email (diners@windcave.com) or by phone (09 977 3461).

Can I also apply for other Payment Schemes?

In addition to offering Diners Club Acquiring, Windcave also offers full-fledged acquiring for all prominent card schemes like Visa, Mastercard, China Union Pay, Alipay and WeChatPay. There is no need to apply separately for each card scheme. One application is enough to start accepting all of Windcave's supported card schemes.

How long will it take for my application to get approved?

Your application will take an average of 2-4 business days to get approved. This average is dependent upon the amount of information filled out in your application as well as the documentation provided at the time your application is submitted. Once your application has been approved you will be sent an Acquiring Agreement to sign and return.

Once my application has been approved, when will I be able to process Diners Club transactions on Windcave Acquiring?

Once you have signed and returned your acquiring agreement it will take up to 3 business days to set up your merchant account. You will be notified by our Activations team once your merchant account has been setup.

Is there any minimum contract period for the agreement?

The minimum contract period for all our agreements is 36 months which commences from your agreement start date.

Are there any breakage fees if I want to cancel my agreement before its end date?

Yes there will be breakage fees based on the remaining months left in your agreement.

What information is required to complete my application?

As part of our AML (Anti Money Laundering) obligations we are required to obtain the following documents:

    1. A valid photo ID i.e. a current passport, current New Zealand/Australian firearms license or a current New Zealand/Australian drivers license. Please note that we require certified copies for all non New Zealand/Australian passports.

    2. Proof of Business Address which can be in the form of a power bill, phone bill or bank statement with the businesses legal name.

    3. Proof of Bank Account.

What are Merchant Services/Acquiring Fees (MSF)?

This is the rate merchants are charged for every credit card transaction processed on Windcave's Network. This rate will be advised and confirmed by our Sales Team.

How and When will I be charged for MSF?

At the start of every month you will receive an invoice via email for your previous month's transactions. This invoice is payable on the 20th of every month.

What is the Startup Cost?

Your Account Manager will inform you of any start-up costs. Please note that these will vary depending on your plan and business type.

Is there a Support Service?

Windcave has a 24/7 global support team who can assist merchants with queries related to Merchant Account Setup, Settlements and Billing. You can get in touch with our Support team here.

When do funds show up in my bank account?

Normally funds will settle over night or on the following business day however this is dependent on the bank where your account is maintained.

Can Windcave support settlement for Businesses with late trading hours?

Yes Windcave supports settlement for these businesses and can also customise settlement times depending on each businesses needs and requirements.
